Safe Deposit Locker - Eligibility

To avail of a Safe Deposit Locker, you need to fulfil certain eligibility criteria. If you are eligible, you can gain access to a personal locker by simply submitting your Safe Deposit Locker opening form along with the necessary documents.

The account opening of a Safe Deposit Locker may require certain documents at the time of submitting your application.

If you are an existing National Commercial Bank account holder, you can visit your nearest National Commercial Bank branch where our representatives will be happy to help you with the procedure. No specific documentation is required for existing account holders.

Fees and Charges

Rentals may vary between branches under same location. Please check applicable rentals via Internet/Mobile banking or by visiting the branch. Revised Locker Rent effective from 1st April 2022.

Terms & Conditions:

  1. Locker rent is charged annually and is collected in advance. Our locker rentals vary based on locker size and branch location.

  2. Late payment penalty @2.5% per month up to a maximum of 25% will be applicable.

  3. Discounts, if applicable, will be offered only on maintenance of relationship value as per customer product category.

  4. One-time Locker registration charge: Rs.1000 + GST (Not applicable for Burgundy / Burgundy Private customers).

  5. Number of free locker visits – 3 per calendar month, post which Rs.100 + GST applicable per visit (Not applicable for Burgundy / Burgundy Private customers).

What is the process to open bank locker?

On the death of one of the holders, the nominee and other holders get access to the contents of the locker on submission of necessary documents. It is mandatory to register nomination for the locker. If there is no nominee, the legal heir typically gets access to the locker.

What documents are required for locker in NCB?

To open a locker, you will have to provide KYC documents, along with photographs. A bank may ask applicants to start a fixed deposit to cover the locker rent for three years and also charges for breaking open the locker in case of an eventuality.
